I need to temporarily disable my antivirus software to troubleshoot an issue or install a specific program. How can I safely do this on my Windows or Mac computer? What are the steps to turn it off for a short period? Are there any precautions I should take to stay secure while it’s disabled? Please provide clear instructions for my operating system.

If, for some reason, troubleshooting is not possible, or if you encounter difficulties when trying to install a specific program with Bitdefender already installed, you can simply uninstall Bitdefender, install that program, then reinstall Bitdefender. But that's the last resort, you should be able to install the desired program (provided it's not another security software) seamlessly with Bitdefender on. 🙂
